After a search which took us to a numbers of suppliers it is finally pouring in all its glory in the Bierhaus. To put it quiet simply our search for this beer on tap has taken nearly 2 years- it hardly took this long to find the holy grail!! We never give up in our search for quality beers.  | Pilsner Urquell (international title in German, Plzeňský Prazdroj in Czech) is a bottom-fermenting beer produced since 1842 in Pilsen, Bohemia (Plzeň, Czech Republic). The beer is today a prominent brand of global brewing empire SABMiller, which has also started brewing Pilsner Urquell in Poland and Russia. |
Pilsner Urquell is somewhat is more strongly hopped than most pilsener beers. Saaz hops, a noble hop variety, are a key element in its flavour profile, as are the use of soft water and fire-brewing. |
